I hope wherever you are in the world that your March has been going well. I can’t believe we’re already three months into 2023—but I’m excited we are, as it means the start of the cover reveal countdown for Book 2!

As I shared in my last newsletter, Some Place Like Home is on track to be out this June. I’ve updated my website with a first look at the cover reveal AND included an excerpt of Chapter 1 below.

In this scene, we meet Carver and check in with Everett, for those of you who read Book 1. In next month’s newsletter, you’ll meet Daniel and watch the sparks fly between him and Carver.

“Y’all still open for business?”

Carver looked up and saw someone he should stop expecting to be done with. Hadn’t seemed to keep the man from popping up last year either. Everett Kane stood in the waiting room of his empty auto shop, both hands stuffed in the pockets of khaki pants.

Carver sighed, stood from his chair, and turned down the narrow hall. He met eyes with Everett on his way to the intake desk and shuffled the first stack of papers he could find.
